My ps3 is updating and im not sure if its to 3.55 or 3.72

how can i cancel the update?
i tried to update to 3.55 and i left the Ethernet cable in, and it cheked for updates and its looks like its updateing to 3.72, im not sure, it turned my ps3 off and i dont want to update to 3.72! what to do ?

I think you're screwed. You already downloaded the firmware and as soon as you turn it back on it's going to install it. Removing the hdd won't work so I don't know what you can do to stop it. Why even have the internet line connected anyways?

I have my ps3 connected all the time. The thing is..people are stupid and make mistakes..I dont.

You made no sense....

If someone does not know that they are updating to an official firmware, they should not even have a modded console. You are prompted 2 times to accept the update.

Hi,
Well my PS3 is already 3.73 so I know I'm screwed. I was just wondering if anyone is even trying to do anything for those of us that didn't know better and upgraded our system, (I feel so stupid) or if it's a lost cause and I should just toss it.

(Well I can use it for a blu-ray player anyways so I guess I'll keep it around.)

well if its a nor model you can spend the 65 bucks and buy an e3 flasher , at least you will have psn and 3.55 ,but then again the new model has no sata station,not sure if it does a dual or partial dual boot

also you should install a 3.73 spoofer ,if there is one,

Simple thing is to break out the Flashers and downgrade again a little more harder to go down than up unfortunalty.
