ok i was testing out my new psjailbreak last night, i flashed it and all to a service mode dongle booted it up in my ps3, but i was putting the usb stick in my second usb port it was not working and kept going back into service mode, i then reliazed that i had a 4 port usb ps3 so i placed in the far right corner

when i did this i got only a black screen
then fan started to spin fast but the orange light did not blink, only the power kept blinking green i waited for like 10 mins and saw that it only kept blinking so i switch the unit off thinking that nothing had been changed. now when i turn it on the power light stays for like 10 secs then turns off (red)

if i try back the usb stick in there it will continue with the power light blinking but the hdd light is not on like everyone said it should be here a log of the update

have you tried options in the Ps3 recovery menu? if you can get to it that is.

How to Access Playstation Recovery Menu

    1. Turn off Playstation®3.

    2. Hold The power button down; The system will turn on and turn off once again.

    3. Once the System has been shutdown, re-press you finger until you hear 2 consecutive beeps

    4. When you hear the 2 beeps take finger off power button.

    5. You will be promted to plug in your controller via usb and then hit the PS button

    6. The Recovery menu will pop up.
