    I bought a PS3 that was already jailbroken, under Videos there are some movies on there, they are AVI files, Id like to put more AVI files on there, but I dont know how....could someone point me to a thread or help me out

    You need to put them on an external HDD, goto the USB drive selection in the Video XMB, press Triange and goto Display All. Then find the movie you want to copy to internal and press Triangle again. It will have an option for copy to internal.

    Prolly via FTP, if you're going to use a USB stick just make a folder called VIDEO then put all your files in that.

    Ya can't copy any movie files over FTP to the internal HDD. The PS3 treats video files much like an iPod treats music when you copy it to it. It creates it's own proprietary file names and then creates .xml files for the info. A couple of us tried to recreate it ourselves awhile back, and the best we could do is rename a .avi file to the same file name that was already on the internal HDD, edit the .xml file with the correct info, and then overwrite the movie on the internal with the movie we had renamed. If you ask me, it's way easier to copy them from an external source.
