My legal back that I ripped off its disc will NOT work

Ok this has become wildly frustrating. I followed the guide on this site for KMEAW CFW exactly about installing the CFW (previously had Geohotz 3.55).

Everything worked flawlessly of course. I have a ton of PKGs installed. I also have the lvl2 PKG v3 installed.

So I used Rogero Manager 7.8 and took my copy of Sonic Ultimate Genesis Collection and copied it with Rogero to my PS3's internal HDD. Then I try to launch said copy from the HDD in Rogero and it simply black screens and takes me back to the XMB or black screens permanently and requires a hard reboot.. Multiman does this as well. Gaia 2.01 ALSO does this.

I even reformatted my entire PS3, reinstalled my PKGs, re-copied my game, and it WILL NOT launch from any backup manager.

I have even downloaded the fixpermissions PKG, ran it, then tried to use all 3 BMs again with their own BDRIP of my game - and it still crashes.

What am I doing wrong?

Are these new FWs simply unreliable in what they will play and if so is there a master list of games that are confirmed working and not working?

This is the only physical PS3 game I own so I cant test with another game I never use my PS3 to game much that is until these CFWs got released, Im planning on borrowing/renting games and ripping them to play but I cant get this game to work.

Any advice at all?

were you using 3.41 and a dongle before and all games worked?
what model ps3 do you have?

PS Jailbreak Compatibility List - Home is a good place to start, but it's slowly getting updated for compatibility with these new CFWs. Thing is, are you trying to boot this game diskless or with disk? If you're booting with disk, after selecting the game in MultiMan/Rogero's (make sure you say no to direct boot/have direct boot turned off) you will be dumped to the XMB. Have a disk in the drive, and select the disk icon from the Game XMB (Should be the name of the game you just loaded) and it should load the game. With kmeaw's you can also try to load a game diskless by selecting the game in the BM, having it dump you back to the XMB, then you go to app_home and that should change into the background art for the game you just loaded. Mind you, diskless loading has about a 70% success rate.
