Modified Eboots and 3.15 MFW's

So I have a buddy that is a 3.15 fanboy and will not get off it till AsBestOS or BootOS is farther along. Anyhow I know we have modded eboots for 3.41 users and 3.55 users to play newer games. Anyhow I was wondering if these would work for a 3.15 MFW I made for him as well. And if not would doing my own eboots for him get him to play some newer games? Mainly worried about God of War III and GT5 for him really as I think they are the only PS3 games he has over 3.15. Anyone on a 3.15 MFW and ever tried using modded eboots and retain OtherOS?

I'm thinking no. As with a lot of the newer games are built with a newer SDK and might not even be compatible in that way. You could always try the EBOOT editing and report back if they work or not.

Im on a 3.15 mfw on my 60 gig fat. Im only running fba next and snesx9. Ive also got multi manager which Im running a few games on it but most of my gaming I do on my slim. Well Ive got GOW III work as is if you want me to try anything for you Ill gladly give it a go. Just PM us

I'm not entirely sure of the relevancy to this post, but to run Motorstorm Apocalypse requires a few fixes. I don't own the game so I cannot test it, but the files are from Belmondo, a trusted member here, so it should fix your issues running the game on Kmeaw CFW 3.55 (or 3.41 for that matter).

Atreyu, get any modified eboots to work for you? I'm also refusing to give up my OtherOs fw3.15, but having problems with newer games. Aragorn's Quest requires 3.41. I can patch SFO with MultiMan 1.16, but only boot to black screen. I tried using MM black screen boot (square plus select) but i was informed that will only work with either a payload or fw that supports peek and poke. Using PL3 from rockbox ipod doesn't seem to support that, and hermes only works on 3.41+. I was thinking of trying Xoeo's cfw 3.15, but not sure it's any better.

The eboot mods sounds like a better option, but probably complex, and maybe very hit and miss. Any good results from this method? It would be nice to have a repostitory for 3.15. All i see are eboots for 3.41. I'm also hoping Graf.C revives OtherOs for all current fw's soon...

i gave up on my 3.15. actually i didnt want to update so i sold it lol. i was on pl3. the 3.15 scene is dead but if these eboots can be compiled for 3.15 it should help out people a lot.

Nav with all the work grad has done to 3.41 linux he switched since it is already loads better then otheros already. So he went to 3.41 cfw now. The problem is most games are written with a newer sdk then 3.15 so if the game calls for stuff in the newer library then it will cause a crash. Out of three games we tried only one worked. So I suggest going to 3.41 as well. You will not lose anything but actually gain more using a real linux distro with full rsx access and the ability to play all games to date as well.
