Minimus 32 AVR USB Development Board

Hi i am hoping someone could help me with my minimus 32 board.

I have bought this device from ck3 got it today and i am following the pdf on how to install the flip software and load the hex onto the board.

So i have installed the drivers on my vista 64bit machine and open the flip program.

I go to Device and choose AT90USB162

Click: Settings > Communication > USB then click Open

every time I click on open usb I get an error that says cannot open usb.

I'm new to all this and cant find a solution any help please?

Did you install the drivers from the flip install or from the separate x64 driver pack? The ones that are included do not work even though they install fine.

i downloaded the drivers which were on the pdf they said they would work fine with 32 and 64 bit also in my device manager it shows up as ATmega32U2 is that right?

just noticed on the pdf after drivers are installed it should show up as a AT90USB162 in device manager but it doesnt it is a ATmega32U2

i think im answering my own questions here i just changed my device in flip to the 32mega and now it works fine lol.

Yeah, the chip on the Min32 is the ATmega32U2. Try selecting that in the device list rather than AT90USB162, even though they are practically identical chips you probably still need to select the right one.

Also, what color is the light when it's plugged into the PC? If it's red, follow the instructions to enter DFU mode.

ok sorry one last question, has someone please got a link to what hex file i should be putting on there to make the jail break work please. Sorry if i cant ask that question im not sure sorry.

Hi, I got the same board yesterday and used the Hex for the AT90USB162

Here's the latest hex for the original Minimus which apparently also works on the 32.
