memdump - gnpdrm or npdrm?

Hello again everyone,

I have yet 2 questions which seems stupid/easy but are virtually impossible (at least for me) to find information on through search engines, so hopefully someone can answer them and later on someone else can find the answer(s) here through Google or something.
I am not a developer but I've worked in IT administration for the past 10 years and have experience with PSP modding so I'm not stupid, maybe I'm just getting too old. =P

1) Installing memdump there are 2 different pkg files and the readme says to use the one you need, but not which one you need.

memdump_001-FINAL (gnpdrm)
memdump_001-FINAL (npdrm)

Personally I have a fat CECHC04 with 3.55kmeaw. Can't find any info online on the difference between these two .pkg types, can someone clarify? Trying both to see if one works isn't too hard but I like to know what I'm doing.

2) memdump specifies requiring "MFW 2.70 - 3.55 (with LV2 peek/poke and LV1 hvcall 114 patches)". None of the readme's for the CFW's I've found specify these features, and googling "hvcall 114" yields barely any information. How do I know which FW to use to get full dump(s)?

Edit: I ran the gnpdrm file and started memdump without running the lv2 patcher before, and the filesizes indicate everything went smoothly. I wouldn't mind answers though as I think this is the kind of thing keeping a lot of people from growing in to helpful members of the community.

Package type depend of Your CFW. Some doesn't accept some of them, some doesn't launch some EBOOTs|SELFs/FSELFs. ELF is the same in all of them, it just a different containers.

Your CFW support all of them and I as remember You can make full dump on this fw. Anyway, Kmaew is really old and out dated. On CEX I proposing Rogero or Rebug. Make your flash dump a few times and compare their checksums. Also check if you have inside bootldr.

Ok I have googled everywhere, and I cannot find a clear answer. I don't quite understand what you said, so perhaps I will ask again. Which one do I use, I am on 3.55 Kmeaw as well (store bought console), wanting to upgrade to 4.21.1 REX. But first I want to do a memdump.

Also, what is the difference? I still didn't understand your post in the differences?
