Maybe a Dumb Question but with new ps3 games Disc's not backup

Can you play the bd disc game on 3.55 with whatever patch to allow the gameplay? or there is no possible way to do so, unless the system is updated?

at the moment there's no way to play the new games with 3.60 kay's on cfw there's only a handfull of games that have working patch's.

You can play from the discs, as long as the updates you download don't contain the 3.56+ eboot; then, if it does, you can just delete the update from there.

Alright, but what if the game disc that has the "update" requiring a higher fw, can they still be playable?...similar to how UMD's where played when they used to ask to update your psp due to being used in a low fw.

Just delete the update, then boot the game again but don't install the update.

wait, i can't delete the update when its on the BD lol, im possibly gettings the question confused, you're talking about the game update, while im talking about the Blu-ray disc FW update, by launching ex:Infamous 2, the game might say " To be able to play this game, you need to update to "X.XXFW", is this possible to happen? I don't know if any tof the games that i got requires this, because i haven't had time to test them all yet, and the saves are in my 3.66 Phat Ps3 :P I bought alot of games lol

K, If I understand correctly... You CANNOT play 3.60 games on a 3.55 ofw/cfw system. If the game comes with (or will download and update patch that has 355_blah_blah.pkg) than after installing it will work on a cfw PS3. But, initially, even with disc NO 3.56+ games will work on our jailbroken PS3's...

aaaah, so to be able to play the original Blu-ray disc's that requires a higher FW, i can just spoof the ps3? awesome then , that way i don't need to have 2 ps3's around in my room lol.
