Low/No Sound maybe because of CFW 3.55 Kmeaw

As the title says..I updated with the CFW (Kmeaw) today..and using multiman 1.13..Games do play fine..Tested Infamous and GT5..had no problems running them..The problem is kinda simple...

On my TV it seems the sound is lower than usual..in the menu and in games.
On my uncle's tv there is no sound..(Took there to test maybe something else happened..or the cable..Switched the hdmi cable also but that wasnt the problem..and yes obviously changed the settings since we have different televisions.

I did a complete default settings restore but nothing..

Basically on my TV..I used to play NBA2010 and it was very loud at around ~30 Volume level..Now i need to take it at 60 + to get same levels of sound O_o I will admit i dont use the PS3 a lot but i am pretty sure the sound was louder than this....Same with GT5..Need to have volume at 50+ to get any decent sound out.

Anyone has any idea why this happens? I dont wanna bother installing the OFW to see if its the CFW and start over again so i am asking here..

Edit: Its a 250GB Slim one :> just in case it helps any ;S

I think I have found the reason (unfortunately not the solution you were looking for).

I know that at least two of my Four UBISOFT games that I tried, run OK from the "BD Disc" on Kmeaw 5.55 (If I don't run LV2 patch). Upon running LV2 patch, no more sound (even using the discs, not the Backups).

So there is something to do with LV2 patching (remapping BD drive to HDD positioning).
By the way we all have noticed the BD video problem upon running the LV2 patch, right? Is it related? I mean is UBISOFT using some special BD function that BD video playback also uses?

It's just a thought.

BTW the two originals that I tested were "Prince of Persia Trilogy 3D" and "Assassins Creed Brotherhood" and they both lose their audio if LV2 patch is loaded into the system.
I will try to test both originals and backups of Assassins creed 1 and 2 to see the results. If it's only happening on the newer games could this be a UBISOFT protection? Or just a new method of audio streaming?

PS: For now I Will have to run those games using my Discs and no LV2 patch loaded :)

Runing CFW Waninkoko 3.55

I have the same problem with AC Brotherhood. The Audio goes away after the intro, in the beginning of the games.

by the way I am using Multiman 1.14 for backup.

I have a similar problem with Little Big Planet. The music and voices work but the sound effects don't work anymore I think it could be the lv2 patcher v4. I didn't have this problem with v4. Or it could be the new multiMAN 01.14.01

I am also having problems with ASSASSINS CREED BROTHERHOOD sound!

I move to kmeaw just now and i didnt notice that ALL MY GAMES have no sound! Damn x1000

I've got my ps3 connected via toslink (optical) to my surround deck, and have noticed no change in audio outputs with 3.55CFW

Those having this problem - are you using analog audio outputs?

try using multiMAN 1.15 and please don't use lv2 patch, since it's integrated into multiMan...

ever tried reconfiguring sound/ps3? - hold power 5 seconds on start

I am not using Lv2!
And i already tried to hold power 5 seconds on start >.<

My games were just fine when i was using ps3usbjailbreak with backup manager,
then i installed ACB and asked me to update, ok, then my ps3 gone to 3.55,
so I installed the original 3.55 then the kmeaw 3.55 then the multiman 1.15 and now all my games have no sound >.<'

EDITED: I selected ACB, ok, then i placed my original MGS 4 and ta-da, my sound is back o_O
But i can use my saved games! Where are they ? o_O

EDIT2: Ok, it was a matter of select the DISC not the app_home/PS3_GAME to my save games come back :D

when i updated to kmeaw cfw my sound setting changed from 'optical out' to 'hdmi out'
