lose internal backups when updating from 3.41 to 3.55CFW

Hello,

I tried to search but cannot find the answer... So, I wonder if all my backups (including homebrews) in the ps3 internal HDD will not be deleted when I update from 3.41 to any 3.55CFW?

Do I need to rename my GAMEZ folder?

Nope, everything should be there after the update. Only rename your GAMEZ folder if you plan on deleting the manager but want to keep your games.
