List of Games That Do NOT Work. Please Add

I don't know if my info is correct, but I have experienced that if a game is not copied with a backup manager (jailbreak), it may not play. There are several PS3 Game backups in the internet that were copied by using a Blu-Ray drive and made into an ISO or Image file way before the Backup Managers were in the scene.

I've only experienced this with two backups that weren't mine and later it was reported that they were not backed up by any Backup Manager, but instead of the old fashion way.

At this point, I'd like to learn what the Backup Managers implement in the backups? So they can later be supported by them?

Well, any and all scene releases that were ripped without a jailbreak method will not work. There was a few out in the wild even before the jailbreak was discovered. Those are the ones that will not work.

The ones that have been released since with jailbreak should be just fine. It shouldn't matter what backup manager is used for the ripping as long as it's a supported jailbreak method.

But dont forget, that there are game rips out there too (cut video, cut languages,etc.).
So problem can be a bad rip too.

And there are two versions of the games, EU and US. Maybe they differ in jb compatibility.

Start game up and do game update when asked. You will then eventually get a black screen. Just restart and load again and it works fine.

Works great for me with disc inserted. First game I tried when I hacked my PS3 in fact.

I cant get colin mcrae dirt 1 to work - internal or external.
Using hermes v4b and Gaia manager.
Black screen when loading from xmb.

Call of Juarez USA works after installing the updates with Hermes v.4
I had to use Gaia Manager Rc 0.9 to get it to update and install. After that it works also with OpenManager.

Thats weird, I ran the PKG update manually, and it still freezes on startup.

that might be the differnece between internal and external backups as lost planet doesnt work if with updates if on internal but on external works perfectly

some games are crazy like thats why need to have ntfs support as games like tekken 6 and blaz blue are internal only for now and both freeze install updates

and another example of this is sonicn unleashed it wont work if on external but if its internal works perfectly.

fear 2 is both a hit or miss its a game that needs a disc inside to play but also it needs to be the actual fear 2 dsic or a backup of it

i was able to get it to work using direct launch with a burned dvd of fear 2 in the ps3 so that game is similar to grid where it always goes back to the disc to load

(grid is the same way although the update they made for it fixed the problem of always reading from disc which in some cases would cause a disc read error. so with update grid works without it doesnt)

so if there can be true bdvd emu that transfers all syscalls to the backup most blackscreen games will work i think
