KMEAW CFW ON PS3's in stores now??

My 60GB launch model just gave me the YLOD today.

So I am in the market for a new PS3 right now. I am wondering if I would go to the stores and buy a retail unit (3.50), would I have any issues with installing the CFW from KMEAW?

I'd just like to know if Sony has tried to make any hardware changes as of late or if there is anything else I should know about. If so, I have no problems with purchasing an older compatible model. I have read there is issues with downgrading on newer units but I am not interested in that functionality at this point.

I was running Hermes 3.41 CFW on my PHAT 60GB with no issues and was quite happy. Maybe this YLOD is a blessing in disguise to get me to make the jump to 3.55 CFW

Thanks for the confidence booster. Just got back from buying a new 320GB model.

Installed CFW without any problems.

Life is good!!!!!
