kmeaw Cfw 3.55 installing problem

hi I just tried to update to Cfw kmeaw through the service mode but the screen on my tv is black has been like this for 10mins at least. I was
on ofw 3.55 and used the ps3cfw patch from this thread: http://psx-scene.com/forums/f187/idi...install-77096/ (Idiot-Proof Kmeaw 3.55CFW Install) i have a fat ps3 60gb ps3. does anyone know what's going on? thanks!

Did you use a premade kmaew 3.55 PUP?

hmmm did you try this???

Reset PS3 Video Setting - Blank Screen

* Make sure the system is off.
* Hold down the Power Button for 5-6 seconds - until you hear the second beep.
* That's it, your video settings are reset and you should be able to choose your input and configure it from there.

This will reset your video settings, maybe thats all it is, as I assume you were trying to get into recovery mode. if this doesnt help, My suggestion is to post in that thread you just posted and ask there....
they can narrow it down more and help you better with the steps you had taken.Just make sure to include every detail about what you did so they can determine what happened.

Please describe when you got the perma black screen .....was it trying to boot into recovery???? or after installing one of the Firmwares???

it was during the installation of the Cfw kmeaw 3.55 firmware I was in service mode likethe tutorial told me to be in and then I pressed select + start and it started preparing the kmeaw ** I just pressed x on my controller and it made a beeping noise (from the speakers, not from the ps3)...

ok so i decided to just turn it off and turn it back on and it launched back to the xmb luckily. I checked the system information and the firmware says 3.55, if the cfw was successful would it say "cfw 3.55" or something like that? and if the cfw did fail, should i try to reinstall it?
