Killer Instinct U64 - PS3 Port
Killer Instinct U64 - PS3 Port –
01-11-2011,12:24 PM
Hi all, 2011 is looking to be a great year
In december a gentleman named "Gub" popped up on a Killer Instinct forum i use looking for the source code to the popular U64 dedicated KI arcade emulator, and we pointed him in the right direction, however...
Since then he hasn't logged back in, nor left any info on where we can find his progress. Google (and similar) yield no results, so i wonder, is anyone in this community the aforementioned "Gub" ? Or know of WIP on this ?
Many thanks.

Good luck with that..i think U64 Emu and Killer Instinct are the last concern now for PS3 community . Not that i don't want it , but how do you code that for Cell architecture ?

That's for the original Xbox, which uses an x86 processor, which requires a great deal of effort to port to PowerPC which is massively inefficient compared to x86. I'm pretty sure Squarepusher already spoke about the perils and difficulty porting x86 emulators over.
