Just out of curiosity...

Hey all, just recently getting into the whole scene and have been following on the whole 3.5FW not being able to be downgraded, or anything of that nature, jailbreak and everything else.. I am in no ways a programmer, and I do know how tough things are.

I have a simple question, that may or may not have been asked once (or many times, for that matter) before, and yes, before I get flamed or yelled at or called a noob, I have searched, but I am probably not using the correct phrase or keywords?

My question/idea is this.. is there a way, to have the 3.41 firmware altered to TRICK the PS3 into believing its a 3.5 update? Or maybe even a 3.51 (for those on 3.5 already and the system saying it's already up to date)? I know a lot of work would need to go into it, and everything else, just wasn't sure if this was at all possible, since the downgrade seems to be extremely difficult, (not impossible, with the talented Devs). Maybe someone can pinpoint me into the right direction

so in other simple words your asking if a total spoof of 3.5 on 3.41 is avalible

and the answer is no

there is partial one, but doesn't do what you are saying
