just jb my ps3 and i have few questions

Hi guys,

although i just registered today i have been lurking the forums for a while but today i decided to jump on the wagon. Yesterday was my first attempt to jb my fat ps3 160 GB. The ps3 got a dead laser i suspect since it stopped reading BRs right after i updated to play Assasin's Creed 2 (how convenient Sony!!)so i jb my ps3 via rockbox on ipod 4g grey scale with pl3 and hermes v4 (thanks to DanyL) nwo i got few questions please don't flame. I read a lot of threads but still didnt get a clear guide on the how-tos. in fact i think there should be a Newbie guide with all Q&A*.Anyhow, first thing first:

I got the two dirs created when jb is succesful
now i downloaded 2 games (fifa 11 and fifa street3) to my external hdd which i formated to FAT32
now i got (gaia, open manager and multiman)
i created GAMEZ folder on my HDD and put the games there (BLESxxx) x 2
now i used comgenies awesome file manager to copy those 2 folders to my internal HDD (dev00\game) however when i load any of those managers none of them find games . Thats my first question what am i doing wrong?
then i tried multiman and it found the games however as soon as i unplug the external hdd none of the games work (i know fifa street 3 doesnt work)
am i doing something wrong?

I'm thankful for those who read through this entire paragraph and would offer some help.

hi there .. little advice....
1- plug your external hdd to the ps3
2- fire up open manager (it will show the games on the external hdd)
3- highlight the first game and hit the button to copy game
4- it will ask you something like (copy from usb to hdd0, yes or no) hit yes
5- wait................... it will copy the game in the appropriate directory.
6- when it is done, repeat steps 1-5 for the second game.
7- when all is done, unplug the external hdd and you will see the games are still showing.
8- do this for every game you want to transfer and you will get no problem.

Also make sure you check the game compatibility list before installing a game. Because some games will simply not work and other games will not work withou a game disc in the drive.

Let me know if it worked.

By the way if you want to use multiman instead of open manager (which would be for GOOD LOOKS purpose only) all you have to do is go into the .ini file and change the directory for the games backup and games to play.

one more thing now on my internal hdd when i open awesome congenie file manager i find into hdd0 two new folders like GAMES and GAMEZ plus the default game are those created by the new managers i installed?

don'T use the file manager... use open manager to transfer the game from external to internal

you might want to delete the game data before running the game that doesn't work and try it again. If that doesn't work ... try it with a game in the drive... sometimes that work .. but you should definitely delete the game data before running the game again.

weird thing happened today...whenever i load a game sayslease wait for half a sec then goes back to xmb:/ btw where do u delete game data from?the xmb one?and how do u install game updates?thnxw

game data is in the regular ps3 xmb... in the game column .. I think it is the first one on top .. it says game data... get in there, highlight the one you wish to delete.. press triangle and hit delete. as for the game updates. I never do them so you might want to ask someone else on another thread.

Make sure you check the compatibility list : PS JailBreak PS3 Game Compatibility List - PSJailBreak Game Compatibility List

Before trying a game... and it is normal that some games do not work discless... juarez doesn't work at all and saw2 works only with a disc in the ps3
