okay, I just got my ps3 and its at firmware version 3.50. I don't know how or if you even can jailbreak it. If you can, and it's just as easy as jailbreaking a 3.55, than all I want to know is how. If you can't, how do I update to 3.55 instead of the new 3.56? a thumb drive or something? because if I update through the PSN they'll just send me strait to 3.56 I'm sure. Someone tell me what you recommend to do. How exactly do I get my PS3 with 3.50 firmware jailbroken or somehow get it to run multiman (1.14.01)

Make a folder on a usb stick called PS3 .. inside that folder make a folder called Update .. then download 3.55 OFW off this site put that in the update folder .. update your ps3 .. then download what cfw you want and put that in the update folder without the OFW 3.55 in side of it and install in recovery mode

For Kmeaw check here http://psx-scene.com/forums/f118/cfw...ll-pack-77294/ (CFW kmeaw + OFW 3.55 + GAIA 2.05 ready to install pack)

For Waninkoko check here http://psx-scene.com/forums/f6/%5Bre...-cfw-v2-79059/ ([RELEASE] Waninkoko 3.55 CFW V2)

There is also a lot more threads about *how to's and how to not's* on psx-scene just search the forum if you don't like these

Hold the power button down until the ps3 turns on then turns off again .. hold the power button down again then wait for it to beep once then beep twice then release the power button again and there you go

I dont know why everyone says install CFW in recovery mode. It makes no difference.

Actually less checks are carried out in recovery mode so its safer doing it through the xmb the normal update method.
