just got my hands on a ps3 with 3.15 installed what to do now –
Hi there guys first time on here Im not a total noob I have a ps3 with 3.15 installed . I have installed CFW on a few ps3 consoles but it was a while back now what I want to know is what is the best route for me to take with this one? As I follow the 360 scene a bit more than The ps3 scene Im a bit unsure what I should do Dongle or cfw ? And if dongle what one is best TB or cobra ? If I go cfw what one should I use rebug 3.41 /3.55 ? or the other 3.55 one I forget the name of it Sorry if its a bit daft of me just thort I should ask and see what you guys had to say Thanks for your time And cant wait to get my ps3 done and branch out a bit from the 360 cheers
you don't need a jailbreak dongle anymore. Install 3.55 official, then 3.55 custom - a very good one can be found at Codename: REBUG as well as a .6 update file. You'll also need multiman (stickied in the forums here), and bdemu2 . Some other things I personally consider essential are ReActPSN 2.20 (allows you to play PSN games), multiMAN's emulator pack (allows you to play FinalBurn Alpha, NES, SNES, GB, GBC, GBA, Genesis, GameGear, and Master System game roms), and Showtime (high end media player). If you want games that require 3.60 or higher, you'll need a True Blue dongle and if you want PSP/PSX/Some PS2 compatibility you'll need a Cobra dongle but these aren't jailbreak dongles. They are additions to 3.55 custom firmware
