3.55 rebug kmeaw etc... none of them have psn access still, 3.6 and above games can't eboot fix stopping compatibility, and there isn't anything on the horizon to change this currently right?

I have a 3.55 ps3 but am becoming tempted to just upgrade to OFW because Sony is winning so many battles. Jailbreaking iphones, ipods enhances the device. I feel like my jailbroken ps3 is more crippled. Anyone else feel the same or have good news for me to sway my thoughts? please

As long as you are not one of the people that pirate games..........a solution is coming late this month.

If you pirate games and want CFW to play those pirated games on PSN...........I hope the solution never comes.


You can easily go with the E3 flasher and dual boot your system on 3.72 OFW and still run backups and homebrew on 3.55 CFW.



My PS3 is not only less crippled running CFW............it has many more options available than just online gaming with OFW.

If you feel that your system is crippled by not being able to play online...........by all means........bid your farewell and update the thing!

No. You've answered your own question. Go OFW. Sony has obviously won, and even if cfw 3.7 came out tomorrow, 2 weeks later we'd be right back here; a new patch, no online access, only with 10 new titles we can play. So for the average "user": It's not worth it.

not just loss of online but backing up my games and playing them. I admit what my son and I do is on the line of legality. like dead island he is playing it and I back it up and play. However with not being able to play any games after 3.6 except a few I am feeling its crippled. I do love showtime and have been watching some shows off of killerninjamonkey's links.

I am not sure on anything with dual booting I will have to look into that... that sounds like a great idea

It also depends on your preference of the system. I owned an original 40gb phat model for a while until it burned out and i got a 120 slim. It has always been up to date and i missed the phatty, so I use the slim for ofw and bought a 60gb launch phatty for cfw, now with the best of both worlds. Watch movies and play newer games for days without turning it off and save the life of the yellow light death 60gb for just multiman.
