I am considering purchasing the JB2USB USB Dongle. I saw if for $19 online. It is way cheaper than the TrueBlue dongle and says it works the same. Please any feedback on this. Thanks.

not quite the same. jb2usb is a true blue clone that uses an older true blue firmware. i believe v2.3 or 2.4 it does work but it wont accept any game that requires true blue firmware 2.5 and some games that require 2.4. so far im testing games and all the games i tried works but i have read some people haveing trouble with games that on their website says that it works but people are having trouble with
i would pay that bit extra an get the original true blue and not have to worry about it all as a new firmware for it looks to be on the cards so compatibility with newer games is going to be alot harder
It works, but it only supports games up to 2.3 version :S which means that game patches released after december 2011 wont work :S
i really don't mind the $20 but the $65 True Blue is way too much for something that should really free. I can understand charging a bit cuz they have to crack the games to make them work but $65 is like SONY ripping us off all over again. I don't understand why they can't just incorporate into the custom firmware and have a donate button like the rest of all other scenes.
donation buttons don't work. Ask around to people that have contributed. 65 bucks is not a rip off because you get over 100 new games that you can play and the simple fact is that nobody's done any better so it is what it is. If you do buy one, then I'd suggest that you spend the money and get the real thing. JB2USB and JB-King are nothing more than pale copies. They don't even use their own firmware and they can't patch the games themselves. Until then, they are just novelties as far as I'm concerned but I can't tell you how to spend your money. I can tell you that you will have problems with the knockoffs
i dont get all the moaning on the price of them its a 1 off fee which is the price of 1 game to get to play an extra few hundred compared to those on kmeaw, rebug an so on i didnt really agree with the price at first but then i took the jump an got it an never looked back if they charged for each eboot patch or firmware update then ye i could understand all the fuss but as i said a 1 off few an you get access to an extra few hundred games
if JB-King was priced at $20 like JB2USB I'd consider them because they have remained active unlike JB2USB at thwarting TB's updates and getting their dongle to work with the latest patches but since the price difference is close to TB its not worth the hassle/risk. Now if JB-King started making their own patches for games in competitive time frame with TB that would really give them the edge and worth going with them for the smaller discount because they would be offering the exact service as TB at a cheaper price and their consumers wouldn't have to worry about using TB patches with malicious code or being blocked temp/perm with future updates. The more I think about it I'm curious why JB-King really doesn't take that route instead of wasting their time and resources playing cat and mouse with TB....its a win win if they started doing their own patches since they would offer the same product at a cheaper cost that would then be safe for their users along with the added bonus of TB penix riders and others won't be able to hate on them for piggybacking off TB. Just my thoughts.
