Jailbroken PS3 stops loading when im playing any game. Help!!!

I'm on CFW 3.55, when i'm playing a game for instance crysis 2 or mortal kombat 9. At certain point of loading, it does not load any more, sometime when i'm playing fifa 11 is freeze for a while and comes back to normal, this also happens when start playing crysis 2 all over again. And sometime while playing game i heard a small sound from the ps3, i don't know whether its from the blu-ray disc drive or the hard disk.

Is it the hard drive in the ps3? or the software cos i have installed OFW and install back CFW on it.

Usually when I have a problem with a game freezing while loading, then it is a problem with the way you launch the game. You might have to move from external to internal or vice versa, use select+x in multiman to do the redirection if it's on external. Some games refuse to work properly on external drive (Overlord is a good example of that) and some refuse to work on internal drive. Some games have to be installed from external, then moved to internal to play properly. You could also try switching your payload. Multiman offers support for 2 payloads - one called standard and the other is Hermesv4 (i think that's the right version). Try playing around with the settings before you try something drastic like replacing your hard drive or formatting it. I can't tell you what the sound is if you don't know where it's coming from. Without knowing that, my money would be on your multiman settings for the game. I'm almost done "backing up" Mortal Kombat. I'll get back with you later tonight if there's anything special I did to get it to work. Hopefully it's not a hardware issue for you

when i'm trying to boot homefront with multiman it say "the game disc has been removed, please quit and restart that game again but when i use regero manager v8.5 it loads fine to XMB and when i try selecting the game it say that the game is a 3.60 game and i needed to update but i have fix the homefront already with a 3.55 eboot fix. how do i change the payload in multiman? Or should i try using another CFW?

in addition to changing the eboot, you should change the sfo to 3.55. Multiman usually will prompt you to do this. To change the payload in multiman you need to install bdemu2.pkg and go into the xmb clone inside of multiman. scroll down towards the bottom of the settings list and you'll see where you can change it from standard to hermesv4. I use hermesv4 on all my games and have no problem with any of them. I finished backing up MK last night (the us release from CHARGED) and insalled the 1.03 update that was included with the release, then installed the Freddy Krueger, costumes, etc dlc found elsewhere (sorry, can't give you links to dlc here) and it launches and plays fine from internal hard drive. Don't update past the 1.03 update (I think current is 1.05) and you shouldn't have a problem

i tried whatever you said but don't have an external hard drive so will borrow one from a friend and try it to see if it will work and i will get back at you. Thank you...

You should really get an external drive. There's a lot of games that don't work on internal hard drive. You're missing out on Assassin's Creed series, Prince Of Persia series and many many more.

I tried Rebug today and had the same problem, i think my only option left is to try the game on an external hard drive.
