Jailbroken FAT 60GB with crashes issue. –

Hey guys, i need your help.
Infos:
Launch PS3 FAT 60GB system.
Swapped the HD for a 500GB
Recently upgraded from 3.15 to 3.41
I purchased this dongle : PS3 Usb Jailbreak , upgraded to 3.41 and installed a 500GB hard drive.
Since then, i got nothing but odd problems. Since i made many changes at the same time, i don't know what to blame.
When i play certain games, it happened on 2 so far, Dead Rising 2 and Heavy Rain, after a while the ps3 turns off with 3 beeps and a flashing light. Dead Rising takes sometime 45 minutes before it crashes but Heavy Rain hardly pass 15 minutes. I don't know if it is overheating, i don't get the message on the top right saying to turn off the system or anything, it just turns off on me.
Is the dongle can make the PS3 to crash? It's happening on just certain game, i left Read Dead Redemption running overnight, like a good 6-7 hours with the controller plugged in to make sure it would stay in "gameplay" all the time and it was still running fine in the morning. I wonder if it could be the firmware update who screwed the system, the 500GB hard drive?
I am not sure what to do now, i mean, if at least it would crash on all games. It's out of warranty, but i don't want to open it to re-apply thermal paste before i am 100% sure it could be overheating.
I tried to lift it up a bit, same thing. I actually placed it near my open window when it was -10 outside and it happened as well, i don't think it's overheating unless the heat is really not getting dissipated at all by the heatsink.
I restaured the factory defaults on the ps3 after i upgraded to the 500GB hard drive and even tried to install, remove and re-install dead rising and still the same.
So, let me know what you guys think. I need help on that one...

Back in the days, it wasn't included in the build in function. I think it started with the 80 or 40 GB models...
I tried it and nothing happens.

Fan testing is bad for your console

Well, it doesn't work for me, but i can't hardly imagine Sony would intentionally implement a function that would be bad for the system.
Just my opinion though, and i would say, doesn't really matter as it doesn't work on my ps3.

dongles can make system hangs... the most problem is when you change payloads, and have some files writed while hermes and others with pl3
