So on PSGroove website, there's this news about jailbreaking PS3 with the dualshock 3 controller, I hope this is fake, cause I just ordered a chip online to jailbreak my ps3, if this is real then I just wasted my $30 on the chip and be very pissed about it.
Anyone think it's real or not?

I'd say its real was said it could be done when psgroove was made. You must solder things in the control to work apparently tho.

But when psgroove was made, nobody thought of the PS3 controller could be used as a device to jailbreak, right?

Unless you have spare old six axis controllers laying around, I don't see the point of this. Why would you waste $100 worth of DS3 controller on a jailbreak.
Everyone does realise that by soldering the board and turning the controller into a jailbreak, you are removing it's ability to function as a controller

I remember a few days after psgroove came out, some devs on twitter said it could be ported to ps3 controller. They also said possibly even a Razor Death Adder Mouse. They were just listing bunch of random things that theoretically could work, these are they only two I could remember.

Wow you're a selfish asshole for hoping this is fake.

No, that is incorrect.

In the video he jailbreaks using the controller, and the controller still functions normally. Let's hope this is true everyone can jailbreak, no more need for dev boards.

Well it is fake in a way. He did not use the control alone. What he did was implant a PIC chip inside his controller which is lame
He posted a tutorial on what he did.
