Jailbreaked 3.41 to 3.55 safe update

Hello everyone,
i have a jailbroken PS3 80GB with 3.41. I really want the new Kmeaw CFW 3.55 with PSN and backup enabled. What do i neeed to do first? Can i update to 3.55 from the XMB without get banned ? What is the best first step i can do ?
I backed up my PS3 to an external HDD.

Upgrade to 3.55 OFW
Install kmeaw 3.55 CFW via recovery
Run lv2.pkg everytime you reboot the PS3 if you want to use a BM.

I'd suggest updating to 3.55 OFW via USB as you never know if Sony is going to change the 3.55 contents to stop us. You can find the 3.55 firmware here: Ps3OsRels - EurAsiaWiki

Personally, I'd stay on 3.41 and wait, its all still early days.

But 2 question:
How do i need to backup my trophes?
Can i add folders and choose a name under Game. Example:

* APP/PS3...
*Install Pakage...
* Demo's
* APPS
* EMULATERS
...
