JAILBREAK + Broken Bluray

Still having problems. I have allready installed KMEAW perfectly without any bluray in. I had no whatsoever problem with this. But I can´run anything. All just goes black. LV2 patcher goes black, stream a moview from computer = black, play a downloaded demo = black.

There must be some kind of fix for this?

would it not be best to use 3.41 firmware with the new Hermes, if u have a broken blu-ray?

if you can install pups without issue, you may only need a laser. your logic board still works. laser replacement should work, but if you find that it quickly burns out the laser again you may need to replace the driver ic. i am not sure if it is the ba5 chip or the bd7 chip that powers the laser. i would assume it is the bd7 but i saw somewhere that the bd7 is the motor driver.i suppose tracing the pinout via the service manual would clarify. just see which one connects to the laser ribbon connector.

BTW any game that will run diskless (gt5 is the only one i have personally tested) should launch from app home.

2 days ago. replaced dead br laser with new one, took a dam time doing it.

after using the backup loader last night to test on some games, i now see the disk icon won't show but the loading circle loads for a very long time but no disk! nothing disk based will load now.
the ****ing laser is brand new, so, do you think its something else that maybe came loose? i'm gonna have to dissassemble it again goddammit.
