Ive been out of the game.. so whats the newest payload?

sorry for such a broad question but Ive seen all these new "lastest news" stuff and Im kinda lost. I havent been here for a bit of time and I have not kept up. I see that the 3.55 adn 3.50 has been modded to lets up play the new games on the old 3.41 systems.

Which payload is the better one for this? Im running the minimus AVR. thanks again fellas.

The newest are still just Hermes v4 w/ 3.50 or 3.55 spoof. All it will do is prevent you from having to edit the .SFO file to change the 3.50 to 3.41. Nothing else is different in the payload. If you're familar with patch the SFO file, you can safely stay with the payload you have.

3.50 has not been moded, it only can be downgraded.
the latest payload would be hermes v4b, however there is a lot of mods to those payloads, like the hermesv4b 3.55 spoof, and the new rebug payload which is a mod of the hermes v4b (currently in my opinion the best)
you also have the PL3 payload that has no version but gets updated quite often you also have the mods like the above the rebug and the spoof mod.

Right now, i think your best bet would be to use Rebug firmware 3.41E and use the rebug payload.

Ahh ok. so if I want to play a 3.55 game on my 3.41 ps3, I can do so with the 3.55 hermes spoof.

don't mean to hi-jack the thread, but can someone point me in the right direction, Im brand new to this, what is a payload? I just need somewhere to start reading.
