I think you missed my point regarding this matter.
I wos pondering for a way to store my games incase something went wrong either with the gamedisks or the ps3 hard drive you see.
Iam looking at it from an storage point of view aswell you see...
Since you cannot play Blu-ray game backups from the disk (to my knowledge), its no use to store it on a BD-R is it now ... ...?
Still, i think its cheaper to buy external hard drives then to invest in these way overpriced BD-R disks wow !?
is ok bud, see i have 2 of these drives, and you just gave me an idea,i will now will be transfering the games from the one i use all the time, to the other one, just in case, never hurts to be very protected
You both, I'm sure, are the exception. I'm not saying either of you are pirates, but that you can install a crap ton of games on a 2tb drive. It's nice to have backups, but don't fully rely on hdds.
Indeed, we cant rely on HDD as we know it... But wot about SSD ... The reliability from SSD is both in terms of SPEED and DURABILITY a MILESTONE in the history of Storage from the looks of several tests / benchmarks i read everywhere.

If my external 2TB hard disk (iam about to purchase) can hold it for like 4 a 5 years untill SSD is getting affordable ...by then the hard disk wont be any longer the weakest link in a computer rigg.
But then again, the price of a SSD is spicey though !!
Oh and chess,
I noticed you use the word "pirate" very lavishly, if i may say so...
Let's say iam a gamer, the one has nothing to do with the other realy !
