Installing and Uninstalling of the E3 Flasher on PS3 slim.

Hi People,
If i buy the E3 flasher and install it on my ps3, after downgrading can i uninstall it or remove it from the motherboard and put it onto another ps3 slim motherboard. My reason is i just want to downgrade to use CFW only and l want my hard drive to be inside the ps3 and not outside.

I don't think you can, since you have to solder it onto the motherboard.

I'd recommend waiting a couple weeks for the revised E3 FLASHER, since it'll be hot-swapable & the current E3 FLASHER comes bundled with the HDD docking station valued at about $30 which you don't need.

I thought you could since the slim does not require soldering and the fat does. Maybe its possible

I read that it can support up to 2.5TB for external, which makes me wonder... The eSATA Station that they offer will it only work with 2.5" drives or 3.5" as well.

Also, if you go to their website, you can view the installation for the slim, which uses a ribbon type cable with like quick solder points so it shouldn't be hard to install.

right now even the slim requires soldering, They do promise complete solder-less support by the end of the month

that's what they are saying by the end of the month all models will completely solder-less

I will wait till the end of this month to see if they will release the solderless but if the don't i will buy the normal one.
