umm this is probably already know but at gamestop today i was trollin and i went to their ps3 and it was on 3.60 demo mode right so i look up on my fone on how to get3.60 out of demo mode and its 1379 so i get it out and bam install package files ????? i mean i left afterwards didnt look into it but did ne1 know this i just thought if we could get our ps3s in demo mode then unlock would it happen to us just shootin out thoughts and this was a ps3 slim

Maybe modded + 3.60 spoofer .
Though i remember someone posted a video from CES 2010 or smth ( which happened before the Jailbreak stick appeared ) and the Install Package File option could be spotted on one of the consoles .
Of course we only later realised what it was

it was at the gamestop and it was completely kiosk mode or watever then i did the l1 r1 select and squeare entered the code and then it unlocked and it said install package files so it makes me think that the ps3 has a built in install package files atleast for demo/kiosk consoles

it's useless, it's just a retail ps3 with the kiosk firmware = with the install package options to install RETAIL packages (retail demos) without going on PSN.. That's all, no point for us, it's just like editing the XML...

o i was just surprised to see it and since its there maybe there could be a way to have a part of the kiosk fw in a custom or modified fw so that it could have install package files on higher fw again just looking for new exploits to jailbreak 3.60+ since the old one was pattched
