Install Kmeaw's 3.55 straight over Geohot 3.55?

My slims still running Geohot 3.55 and I want to update to Kmeaw's, can I just install it straight over Geohot's cfw or will I have to downgrade to 3.41 then 3.55 OFW and the finally to Kmeaw's?
Any info would be appreciated.

You can go from Geohot 3.55 to OFW 3.55 through System Recovery Mode then from OFW 3.55 to Kmeaw's.

hmm yea...i've been trying to mess with this as well....so would that be the easiest way? through recovery mode?

Cant i just go from geohots straight to kmeaw? and on another notye do i really need to go to kmeaws cfw to play my backups or can i just install the new managers and play with it straight from geohots???

bm's do not run game backups on geohots, geohots is only for homebrew

k thanks for the quick reply. still sitting comfortably on geohots most of the games i had work on it with the .pkgs but when i do feel like jumping to it now i know. one more question sry kinda a noob but been trying to keep up onm most stuff its kinda hard with all that goes on but when i do update to kmeaws am i actually able to do the game updates or will that cause corrupted data like on geohots

I do game updates all the time with no problems, there have been some that get corrupt data at times, but those could be due to many reasons, but as far as me, i have had no problems.

Also i forgot about the pkg's for geohots, yes is true you can, butwith kmeaw, you really dont need to create a package for the games to run great from the get go, yeah there are some black screen games, but those i believe give the same results for other cfw as well.

Also if your into pkg files to install games on the xmb so you dont have to run a bm before booting the game, multiman can do this by using shadow copy, just do a quick search for shadow copy and youll see what i mean
and the packages for it are easy to make, just drag your PS3_GAME folder to the ebootFIX.exe and it will create a pkg for you, then all you have to do is delete the game update for the package you created.

Go to MM file manager, highlight the PS3_GAME folder for the game you created the package for, and press R3. exit MM and install the package and thats it

yea i made quite a few packages for games n that was the only way to get games to work on geohots but using a bm makes things simple so u dont have tyo transfer back n forth cause with the gehot n backups u needed to back up the game then transfer it out of the system install the .pkg then tranfer just the one directory back over but thnx for the help good to know been waiting for things to get more stable on the bm when they first came out wit kmeaw cfw it was buggy as hell so i stayed wit geohots till things got smoother n it seems pretty good now for most part

NP bud, and yeah kmeaw is so far the best in manys eyes, and BM support is very stable...good luck on your decission, tho if you look around youll see that so far, kmeaw is hands down the way to go

anyway to upgrade from geohot to kmeaw withoyt losing my homebrew?
i see u have to go from geohot to ofw to kmeaw, but wont that deactivate my homebrew
by going from geohot to ofw?
