You can only install from the disc drive or ftp.
You can back up to the usb but not from it.
i also read something about using an external hdd, could i buy a terabyte and be able to use all of that space, or is that he problem with fat32
that would work too as long as the game doesn't have any individual files over 4 gigs in size. Backing up to the USB is slooooow though.
Check this for compatability: https://spreadsheets.google.com/lv?k...w&toomany=true
i dont think your suppost to be talking about that stuff guys
low post count and talking about piracy already
where is the Piracy ?
im just thinking out loud here but here i go / okay in theory if you were to dump a game to the int hdd which would not dump to ext fat32 hdd due to the limitations of fat32 could you use the ftp server to copy the files from the dumped game from said ps3 int hdd (with individual file over 4gb) to your pc and then copy those over usb to your ext hdd and then run them that way???
can anyone provide any info on the proprietary file system used in the ps3 int hdd?
i'm not trying to start a piracy war or anything, it was just a question. Backup purposes only, that's why i said 'backups'.
so basically, i will just have to ftp it all until another method becomes available, no problem with waiting a little bit.
