install backup from usb stick
install backup from usb stick –
i have an 8gb usb stick and the game that I have is under 4gb, i have backup manager but it doesn't see the usb, i also have the ftp server, but it's taking pretty long. is there a way to install the game from my usb stick??
You can only install from the disc drive or ftp.
You can back up to the usb but not from it.
i also read something about using an external hdd, could i buy a terabyte and be able to use all of that space, or is that he problem with fat32
that would work too as long as the game doesn't have any individual files over 4 gigs in size. Backing up to the USB is slooooow though.

can anyone provide any info on the proprietary file system used in the ps3 int hdd?
i'm not trying to start a piracy war or anything, it was just a question. Backup purposes only, that's why i said 'backups'.
so basically, i will just have to ftp it all until another method becomes available, no problem with waiting a little bit.
You can't copy files over 4gb to any fat 32 drive, doesn't matter if its from a pc or the ps3.
