About LinkBacksok so i hear lots about this downgrade problem where it can take away your blu ray play back. now does that mean you wont be able to play blu ray movies or ur ps3 wont read a games disk either. is it just movies, or games or both.
Can this be avoided. i thought i read somewhere that you can backup a certain directory on the ps3 to avoid this from happening.

03-01-2011,09:09 PMIt only effects movies. If you backup your /dev_flash3 folder, you can restore it. Mind you, this only effects the 256mb NAND ps3's. Btw: this answer could have been found by searching. In fact, I'm pretty sure it's a stickied thread. Thread closed.
