i would suggest going to 3.55 most of the games work, some of which dont on 3.41 and you can apply updates to all games that require fw up to 3,55, an there are tutorials on how to instal cfw just dont instal waninkos cfw it will probably brick your console
id install kmeaw 3.55
CFW 3.55 sounds like the much easier group, but what would be the much better one? Whats wrong with MFW/CFW 3.41? And what about the REBUG 3.41.2?
If you're going to be developing...
3.41 rebug Codename: REBUG
if not
3.55 rebug Codename: REBUG or kmeaw
You don't need a dongle, downgrade the PUPs (and patch, if necessary). Put them on a FAT16/32 formatted memory stick into X:\PS3\UPDATE\PS3UPDAT.PUP and choose update from storage media
If it was MY PS3, and I allready have 2, I would not update/grade past OFW/CFW 3.41There is no need
Their are no major differences aside from the way you "Jailbreak" it
If something major does happen and you need to update to 3.55 to use it, you can do that very easily
On the other hand, if you were on CFW 3.55, and you wanted to go to OFW/CFW 3.41, you would have to do alot of reasearch, and you might lose save files
All your save files would be safe if you updated from OFW/CFW 3.41 to OFW/CFW 3.55
Hope this helps
If you stay on OFW 3.41, you can use these
And, thePS3usercheat.com Driver V1.0 Released by PS3break Team!

3.55 kmeaw for sure! no modifying all those eboot.bin and you don't need a dongle!
