Im new tot he world of the ps3

Im new to the world of the ps3. I have been used to the 360 and have grown bored with it having flashed, jtagged them. I decided to try the ps3 so I have just bought a brand new ps3 320 slim. Its on 3.40 and I want to jailbreak it. Whats my eszt cours of action. I want to be able to use psn aswell as play games from my ps3 hdd. Can I transfer games directly from the bluray drive straight to the hdd of my ps3? I know these will probably sound like stupid questions to you experts but I would like a point in the right direction of its not too much trouble. Im a little worried about connecting trhe macgine to psn as I do not want to install 3.56 as I know that this cannot be hacked. Thanks in advance guys, any help with this wil be very much appreciated

Thanks, that looks very easy to follow (guess thats why its called ps3 hacking for dummies lol). Once again thanks. How does this differ from Kmeaw's 3.55 jb?

It doesnt, just use which ever cfw you want, you said kmeaw, and thats a good start, best cfw in my mind and many others

Everyone has to start somewhere I guess but Im glad I finally invested in a ps3. I became bored with the 360 and wanted a change. Im sure glad I found this place. As with the 360, there are many many many posts and threads regarding jtagging, flashing it can become mind numbing lol. Right Im starting to understand this ps3 stuff a little better. All I need to know now, is how I can transfer games directly to the internal hdd. Time for me to do some searching. Thanks

yes you can backup your own stored bought games to an internal hdd and or an external hdd, external must be formated in fat32.
