Hi my name is Superkame and I'm from the UK . I would like to buy a jailbreak device and hack my fat PS3. What files do I need to download and what do I need to buy inorder to do this?

You need to buy a PSJailbreak clone, or a USB Development board. Or, there are several Mobile Devices you can use, as well as certain IPods and Calculators.

Depending on which one you buy/have, you will need certain files that go with that device. For instance, if you purchase the E3 Card Reader, you can find all the files you will need from here: e3 card reader, new generation ps3 chip with mulit-function

Or you could buy Teensy USB Dev Board, and figure out how to use that. Both options are going to run you about $20 (american) I assume.

The E3 card reader IS a jailbreak dongle... just start reading threads, use google, gather information about stuff; our job is not to hold your hand and tell you every thing we know, thats your job, your suppose to look stuff up your self, we just help people in our free time. It pisses us off when the person we are trying to help expects us to do EVERYTHING for him.

There is no guide, you are suppose to SEARCH MANY post and threads AND use google to learn how to do this stuff, thats how we all learned it. I learned with lots and lots of googleing and piecing togather lots and lots of information from various posts from various sites. In my opinion, thats the best way to learn something. Heres something to get you started. http://psx-scene.com/forums/searchre...q=e3&sa=Search I got it from using the google search on the site and searching for "e3". That's how simple it is. If you have any other questions, please search for yourself BUT if you can't find what you want to know by searching, ask here and I'm sure one of us will answer your question. Just search on google and use the custom google search thats built into our this site. To use the search on this site, click 'search' on the top black bar on the site then either use the forum search or the site's custom google search(it brings up everything that is found on the site with those words.)

Can I buy e3 card reader from china? Will it work still?

It should work, it seems that the e3 card reader is the best dongle out, they seem to update their product to the latest and greatest before anyone else. You might need to check with other members though just to make sure. And where are you buying it from, what site?

EDIT: And what version is your PS3? If its not 3.5 or below then your screwed, if you already updated to the latest which is 3.55 then you can't do anything for now. Just wait until something happens for now if you already updated. If your on 3.42 or 3.5 then you have to get a dongle that will let you downgrade, the e3 card reader lets you downgrade. If your on anything below 3.41 then you have to manually update(NOT the network update because that will take you to 3.55) to 3.41.
