    Hi again,

So I just read the bulliten about Progskeet.... previously I was going to purchase E3 flasher, now I dont know what would best suit me.

Can anybody list the differences of these two flashers. I have a CECH2501a PS3 ... I updated beyond 3.4x when i bought it because I simply knew nothing about jailbreaking (still dont know much ) Im on 3.72 now.

What would benefit me the most?

Progskeet is solely design for all NAND memory chips (no matter what device that is, iPhone, Wii, X360 ... you can use this modchip to it).

While E3 Flasher is only designed for PS3 SLIM no more no less, there might be a support for Phat consoles but it's still a PS3 console.

In terms of support, E3 might give you a better support for PS3 using their specialized software to do the job while Progskeet, you might need to use some officiall dev tutorials to downgrade your PS3.
    Model: CECHC04 PAL/EUR 60GB SKU Console
Firmware: REBUG 3.55 CFW [DEBUG MODE, DEBUG XMB, MENU OPTION 2]
BM: Iris Manager v1.2 (Hermes Syscall8)

Wrong Progskeet is designed for any flash

E3 Flasher is exclusive PS3 Phat or Slim (nand or nor). Progskeet was designed with the PS3 in mind but expanded to all consoles (and others). With the recent news Progskeet has just surpassed E3 Flasher in support and speed.

    Progskeet is also solder-less for PS3 (nand/nor)

The Progskeet isn't only for NANDs.

Hmm would it be smarter for a noob to use the E3 Flasher until understanding the technical side a bit better?

Either one needs you to open up the PS3 casing to install

The E3 Flasher is more user friendly, but the Prog Skeet is probably going to be alot cheaper.
No prices have been revealed yet for the Prog Skeet, neither any release date.

I haven't really seen enough of the solderless Prog Skeet to be able to judge it, but it'll probably be very similar to the E3 Flasher & worth getting.
Note the news post only shows 1 chip, while with the E3 Flasher you get a few tools.

I would either wait for more info for the Prog Skeet or go for the E3 Flasher.

Im comfortable opening the console and taking out the HDD. I would just be worried if I had to solder. The only thing that would confuse me is having to program data (anything more than drag and drop CFW).

Im not really needing the jailbreak for anything other than disabling Cinavia. If its possible I would try homebrew and whatnot
