If i'm beating a dead horse, i'm so sorry. I know i'm new to this great forum and to Ps3 Homebrew aswell.
But i'm getting alittle confused with one game"Super Street Fighter 4"
Let me give you guys the rundown of my setup.
1.My Ps3 is Jailbreak with Ps3break 1.0"can't be updated yet"
2.I'm using ps3break Open Manager 1.61 "it says it has Hermes v3"
3.I got Super Street Fighter 4 on the harddrive thru FTP means with other titles"that work " in the correct folder LXXXX\GAMEZ
Now when I start Super Street Fighter 4 it does it's throphy check and then says theres no save data,do you wish to create it?"Then my controller stop responding"
What am I missing here??? I thought HermesV3 fxed the issue I read in some forums and in others talk about running update? Is this on-line update?
Any help would be GREAT. And please if your gonna kick me to another thread, please give me a tip or two. I have been working this for 3 hours now.
thank You

you have to patch it first
open OM put it on patch mode (R2) then exit out
then FTP your game again to your gamez folder
once that is done go back to OM hit R2(patch mode) go to SSFIV and launch game

I started up Open Manager 1.61 hit R2 "funny, it didn't say anything happen but it says hit R2 to change modes"
I exit Open manager and I'm transfering file thru FTP now.
Now before I go back to Open manager do I disable internet? Because if I don't, it will try to update Super Street Fighter 4.

Well I followed your step to best of my ability and it didn't work. So i'm gonna start fresh.
1.I removed all game data for Super Street Fighter 4.
2.I changed to Open Manager 1.16" I didn't know if that was causeing the problems"
Ok, so I hit R2 nothing happens???? Is that because I'm missing the Hermes file?

It should say Patched or Normal in the top right of your screen. R2 is what toggles it. If it doesn't change, then your payload doesn't support peek/poke and you'll have to get a different device.

Ahh there we go. That's the problem then, because I hit R2 and it stays on normal mode.
Its becuase my Ps3break device 1.0 "early verison" and it can't be updated yet.
So FTP 1.2 & Open manager 1.16 is all I needs to be installed on Ps3 correct?

There's now OM v1.17, which added support for the PL3 payload. But, yes, that's all you need with the proper payload on your device.

Wow quick on the draw man. Thank You
When you say "payload" on device you mean its updates right?

Well, with clones and official devices, yeah, they're called updates. The updates have different payloads that change the way the jailbreak interacts with homebrew software (Ex. FTP, Open Manager, etc). When they added peek/poke to the payload, that gave us the ability to push patches on the fly into RAM. If your device doesn't support that functionality, then you're stuck with limited compatibility until you can get an update for your device.
