Change a string in versions.txt isnt that hard.

only a proof of concept...trying some other things with xmb and debug options, imbeding them into an official firmware
not to burst your bubble but dude, the Devs have already proven the concept like 1 or 2 days ago? They are currently developing a working/non-bricking version of it not just simply editing a txt file to name it as firmware 9.99eleetz version.
Have patience and soon a proper one will surface. Unless fiddling with em firmwares and bricking your own console in the process is your cup of tea then please go ahead![]()
@Xer0mk atleast im trying to create my own cfw and help the community out..
@boyadha yeah i know..but trying is better than nothingand i only run pieces of coding when i know that theres no real big errors otherwise i just keep working on it to make it flawless
Just because your trying to do something "good" doesn't mean that anything that comes from this trying is any use at all and that only good can come of it.
This is one of those examples and if it were only one it would be fine...
But it seems that every tom dick and harry is "trying" and "helping" by posting this rubbish - and that's what it is - RUBBISH.
So you changed a string in a txt file?
The difference between what you have done and anything of actual use like making yourself a cup of tea is like me scratching my arse and someone climbing mount everest with 1 leg.
The thing is, people can see that, yet you cannot. The people who are really "trying" are the people who can see this and don't want to clutter this place with more nonsense threads. Nothing will come of what you have done, except a few people like myself getting annoyed at you, and possibly a few people congratulating you for "trying" - These people won't actually have a clue either though and could just as easily done what you have done.
This will all end in everyone leaving PSX-Scene eventually unless Gary sorts this shit out and starts banning\deleting all these posts.
It's a real turnoff to the people who do have their head screwed on to just read post after post of...
1. Someone with a great "idea" that can't code.
2. Someone who can't code who has made a little change to something.
3. Someone congratulating either of the above.
4. Someone confirming and already confirmed way of doing something
5. Someone asking when XXX will work with XXX
6. Someone who hasn't read a thread and asks a question that has already been asked not more than 3-4 posts before theirs - that's a common problem on all forums but here, it's so bad it's insane.
If the above isn't done soon in a month or two goodbye PSX-Scene...because nobody wants to read that shit.
