I think I know how we can "bypass" Sony's Bans... –
I read the news about Sony giving bans to people by when they go online, they can see what apps that person has been using on his PS3. And if they see a program that has allows you to run backups, they can either give a console ban or a PSN ban.
Now to avoid that, can't we just rename Backup manager to a game, for example, the devlopers of th backup managers can rename them to SDK or any program Sony allows us to use, and they can also give it the same info as a legal program, and even make it look like a game is loading at the startup, but then then the Backup manager loads and Sony does not know we have been using Backup manager, but we have been using some other program that Sony allows us to use.
If this isn't going to work, then I'm sorry for wasting your time.
In fact, you can extract the package, and recreate it using a ID of anything else. A demo, another game, etc. And, just so you know, this method has been around since the end of August '10
There were already stealth backup managers on 3.41 when we still had acces to psn
Honestly, I don't think there's any need to be so paranoid.
Don't plan on keeping PSN if using modified firmware.
