I have missed something...trying to use my usb drive for games

OK first off

I downloaded the 3.55 for the PS3, AT this time I only had A USB FLASH, So I loaded everything up the way the read me file said, Now my PS3 has everything it needs, from what I seen on the youtube video I watched.

But I went out and got a Prestige Portable HDD 500GB, This is were I am lost, I GOT a program and formatted my 500gb drive to fat32, I check it out and the drive read as fat32.

I had games they are blus file, I put a folder call GAMEZ(DIDN'T WORK) &GAMES(DIDN'T WORK), I tryed to use muiltman and gaia, nothing, I can copy games and I tryed to load game from USB FLASH and muiltman read them just didn't play them, that why I went out and got a Portable drive.

Am I missing something here, I havn't done anything like this before since PS1, and abit out of the loop?

Well any game , I had them all on my PS3 HDD, and some would turn on but needed the right control, don't know why it didb't let me pick if I wanted my wireless control or the buzz for buzz triva, and that was that, I may of work not sure.

But I found fifa 2011 usa, and wanted to try it out, I went out and got a HDD drive(like I said above) and wanted to use it for storing my ps3 games, but I can not find anything when going on to my PS3, and opening muiltman, Now my muiltman didn't come with that lv2 patch, maybe this is why I an't see my USB HDD...?

So pretty much, I am trying to find out why I go into muiltman I can not see my HDD, I have a folder called GAMEZ, and all files are Blus.

you need to get BDEMU2.PKG and make sure multiman is detecting the folder you have your games in. All games work differently check http://www.pshomebrew.net/wiki/PS3_B...atibility_List some external only some internal only some both some neither some need bd mirror some need a disc etc.

I have it, Maybe my 500gb fat32 didn't get formatted right, But when I go into disk mangment it says FAT32.

I am really not sure... am I doing something wrong when I go to muiltman...? Like the games should show up, I just have to copy or load them right, there isn't any steps before that....?

makes a GAMES or GAMEZ folder on external usb put the games in there the folder of a game should look like BLUS30589 (US) or BLES30589 (numbers vary on game) or go into multiman with the disc in of the game you want to put on hard drive, highlight it in multiman then hit square and pick copy game.

I can copy game no problem... But when I have a game that isn't beening copyed it has the Blus name and whatever number it has, fifa for some reason only has one folder but the other one have 2 and a file after you pass blus folder.

I did fine with my USB FLASH(like I said above) Just can't seem to get anything from my USB Portable HDD, ITS A 3.0 or 2.0 usb end brand Prestige, So not thinking it is a cheap one, Just thinking maybe its cause I didn't do a good change over, I have 500gb empty, should it only take 30sec or 60sec to change a blank 500gb ntfs to fat32?

I would use Download SwissKnife 3.22 Free - SwissKnife - create/format partitions in your hard drive - Softpedia or FAT32 formatter as windows has problems formatting drives to fat 32 that are over 32GB. The usual structure for a ps3 game is: BLUS#####/PS3_GAME/USRDIR at the very least.
