I AM QUITE DESPERATE FOR SOME JAILBREAKING/CFW KNOWLEDGE

I am quite happy with my ps3 not being jail broken, but it is getting a bit frustrating at this point when I have literally been looking for ONE game for over 2 years. That's star ocean 4. Now personally im not a very big fan of piracy either, I am VERY willing to buy it, but I cant find it anywhere. Im sure I could order it online, but that's not exactly an option. I literally bought the 360 version of the game, because I saw it once and I freaked out. I DON'T EVEN HAVE A 360, I MEAN, SERIOUSLY. I managed to play it for a bit, but I just cant wait anymore. Calling all the ebgames and they always say, "it's a game that we rarely have, we almost never even have it in stock, when we do, we do, but that's about it." And im just like, dayum. Ok rant aside. I am a big fan of the star ocean franchise, so yes. There is my story of WHY I want to jailbreak it, lol.

Upgraded unfortunately. The guide on here is for 3.55. Other then that I don't really know much. I don't know if I have to downgrade it, or if I can keep 4.20 and jailbreak it like that. I also would like to know if once it's hacked it can be undone. Cause a couple other people use this ps3 also, and if it kinda bans us from psn, they'll go on a rampage of "OMG NO COD, BLEGH" So I just kinda need to play this game then un-do it, lol. Anyways yes. If I need to downgrade just please direct me to a guide or such. I searched my self for a bit. And all I could really find was either 4.20 jail breaks on youtube that seemed fake, or something called e3 flasher, which i would never put a mod chip on my ps3. IT'S MY BABY. Of course I know the risk's that do come with something like this, so I could harm my baby either way, but yah. Lol if that one sentence was read out of context it would sound pretty bad, haha.

there isn't any 4.20 Jailbreak at the moment and yes you can downgrade to 3.55 with an e3 flasher (witch doesn't require soldering) or a progskeet (wich require soldering)..
and yes after jailbreak you can remove it and there isn't any way you could be banned since you can't login to psn on 3.55

So would that mean theres no other way to downgrade other then with a Mod chip? Well there goes that hope. Poop :/

e3 flasher is not a mod chip and second your ps3 has to have 3.55 or lower ofw that came with the console.even if u buy e3 flasher it wouldn't let u downgrade it to 3.55 or lower if your system came with higher than 3.55.

I don't think Ill be able to downgrade it, I thought downgrading it was going to be similar to the psp or something of that matter.

I've had some problems with online buying before, so I don't do it anymore :/
Ima try to hack my ps3, but from the looks of it I probably wont be able to considering I need other things to do so.
but from what I can see, the e3 flasher looks like a USB, so wouldn't it be possible to turn a regular usb into something similar to the e3 flasher? Or am I speaking like a complete idiot who has no idea what he's talking about, lol.

That vid, the person is using a usb and installing the downgrading mumbo jumbo to it, so Is it possible? Or WAS it possible, and now it's just not possible with the new OFW's. Or is the video fake, lol.

There has been tons of fake/scam videos out there. Chances are, if someone can't help you here, then there is no help for you.

But like I said, there are people here at this site who offer downgrading services, perhaps you might want to look into that.

In all honesty if I really cant find the game, I think im going to do that. when it comes to something you don't know how to do, It's better to leave it to someone who knows what they're doing, haha.
