Well i decided to make a poll to see, what people need regarding the whole jailbreak stuff...
And what were their situation with their PS3...
Personaly i got 1 PS3 with FW 3.42 working well but still hesitate to update
(i got no 3D TV and don't want to buy one... too expensive)
and i also got another ps3 with FW 2.52 but BR Drive dead without
original controller board, so im stuck with it for now.
(i wanted 1 ps3 online with latest FW & another with jailbreak but i gotta wait i guess if something comes up)
Votes & Comments appreciated.

3.50. I'll jailbreak if the jailbreak solution can keep up with FW updates... which so far.. it can't. It's still stuck on 3.41

Look man, the jailbreak exploit is designed for 3.41 only, any later firmware has patched the exploit. It will not be "updated" to deal with the new firmwares. An entirely different exploit will need to be discovered in order to hack consoles with these firmwares which may be a very long time. Look at how long it took for this hack to come about.
The only positive encouragement I can give you is now the hackers can explore the PS3 more in-depth, giving us a better chance at finding new vulnerabilities. Don't hold your breath though. Go buy another PS3 before stores start stocking new models with new firmwares already loaded.

Not really interested in doing that since if the exploit can't go beyond 3.41, it won't have much life in it anyways.

CFW based on a custom compiled Linux kernel should breath plenty of life into it.

Currently on FW less than 3.41 trying to decide what to do about it.
Am waiting for certain Homebrews to come along before I jump ship - so until that point no JB for me, but am also stuck with not being able to go online as it will ask me to update, so stuck in the middle with no good solution right now
