How to use 4gb+ games on external HDD with MM? –

I just picked up a an external HDD and want to back up all my games. Im pretty sure I remember reading that a MM update fixed the issues of 4gb+ games on external HDDs but I cant seem to find a guide on how to go about it. The only guide im finding is how to change games to the psarc file type. Can someone please give a quick run down on how the new MM way works or atleast link to a guide? I am currently on Rogero 4.30 v2 and have the latest MM if that matters.

justcopy game to external HDD using multiman.
Multiman will autosplit the large files for external play.

If you have the backup on your computer and it contained files >4gb, the best thing you can do is FTP the backup to your console, then connect your fat32 hdd to your ps3 and use mm's copy function to copy it to you hdd. it will automatically split the files. but just to let you know, mm will recombine the pertinent files in a cache on your internal hdd in order to play the game from an external USB drive.

Multiman will auto delete the cached files when you are done playing the game so they don't take up space on your hdd.
