Hias there folks, i bough a psjailbreak from this website thinking it would be the oficial version... well... it wasnt:
PS Jailbreak - Distribuidor oficial en Espaa
yes, its not the real jailbreaker and costed me 89 euros! :/
Anyway, i would like to know if anyone knows what chip is inside it or if there is a way to know which one is so i could get it updated via my pc... cause i dont know how to update this kind of pen :/
Thanks alot for your time ppl.
Regards.

Install FLIP on your pc, plug in the dongle and run FLIP. It will ask you to install drivers, pick manual install and direct it to C:\Program Files\Atmel\Flip 3.4.1\usb. Once it's done installing the drivers you should get a pop-up identifying the device, but only if it's an Atmel that's compatible with FLIP. If that fails you'll have to crack it open.

I have one of these also, not from them as a mate gave it to me. It has the at90usb162 chip inside.
I have tried
1.flip
2.plugging in three times in ten seconds
3. the eclipse updater
4.shorting the two points on the board near the usb connector
I had no success with any, only when shorting the pins did one of the lights go out, that was it. I would like to get this upgradeable if at all possible.

your best bet is to prise the two pins by the light on the psjailbreak and when the pins are level with the metal (eg horizontal) push the usb side of the board slightly and it will slide out.
Then you should be able to identify the chip, it's probably an atmel at90usb162 mu16. At a push it may be an 18f pic, however I doubt it.
