How to reinstall CFW, is it like this easy?

Hey guys!

Im going to reinstall my CFW, since im experiencing some problems with it. Is it just to install the Sony Official 3.55 patch, then install Kmeaws CFW again?

yes that is the right way but which firmware you have on your system because if you have anything higher than 3.55 than you have to downgrade first.

I have Kmeaws 3.55 CFW, so I dont need to downgrade.

But how do I backup my saved games on the easiest way, I can't get PS3s own backup system working?

if you have 3.55 CFW why do you want to reinstall it. use ftp or multiman file manager to backup your save because mostly saves are copy protected and won't backup the normal way unless you want to backup your whole ps3 using backup utility in the settings.

how about updating you system to 3.72 (legal)?
is that just enable internet end update to the latest version, or do i need to do some stuff?

i'm currently running 3.55 CFW (i think), with no spoof oid.
As i want to play fifa 12 online, with my friends, i want to go legal again

Which map shall I backup, the home map?

I don't know where are saves for Minis, should be in /home also but in different folder.

VMCs are in:

Code:

dev_hdd0/savedata/vmc/

But if You want them on any PS3 with CFW, better idea is to export via XMB to *.psv container.
