so your telling me that there is no way to downgrade a ps3 slim from 4.30? (haven't moded since ps1 mod chip)

Alright, depending on which console you own, you may or may not be able to downgrade it using a hardware flasher. Basically, if the system ever had 3.55 on it, you can put it on it again. But at the same time, if the system NEVER had 3.55, and actually came with 3.56+ out of the box, then you can NOT downgrade that console.
