if you split files bigger then 4gig you cant play it frome external, only from internal. the point of spliting files is that you can put it on external and then copy it from external to internal

once files are split using opensplit v1.0 (e.g. "tekken.psarc" which is over 4GB) is it ok to just ftp all split files straight to ps3 internal HDD (e.g. TEKKEN.psarc.66600, TEKKEN.psarc.66601, TEKKEN.psarc.66602, etc) and using open manager v1.17 to load or does it strictly need to be copied from pc to external and later using Comgenies Awesome Filemanager to save to internal?
cheers guyzz!!

What??? The point of splitting the big files was because you want to play it from your external harddrive. If you are going to FTP it to your internal anyways, don't split it. The internal harddrive can handle files bigger than 4gb.

I want it saved from my pc to my ps3 internal as personal preference but as the psarc file is over 4gb, ftp keeps disconnecting itself from my ps3 everytime i try to transfer..
after searching/googling most people feel its best to transfer split psarc files onto external and then to your ps3.. as I don't have an external hdd, im wondering if i can just ftp the 4 split files straight into my ps3's internal directory and open via open manager..
just wondering if anyone has already attempted this?

just put the files on a 1gb flash drive and move them all independently to the correct directory on the ps3 using comgenies_awesome_manager...and if you say you dont have a 1gb flash drive laying around i dont believe you live in the 21st century or even know what a ps3 is
