How do you install game patches on a 3.41JB?

I recently downgraded to 3.41 and Jb it and wanted to install a modded MW2 patch and but I was wondering how to do it. How do you add patch to game data utility? I tried FTP but its not working for me. Is there a way to do it with just a flash drive? Any info would help. TIA

You can just get them online if you're not scared about Sony seeing you.

It's safe to get your game patches online. You can also find the patches on the net and place them on a flash drive to install as well.

I have the modded patch I want but just don't know how to install it

Simple; stick the patch (a .PKG file) onto the root of your USB device, then install it via the XMB menu option "Install Package Files" =)

The patch is a patch_mp.ff
So I can't install it with the "install package files"
Is there a way to convert to .pkg?

Ahhh! See, it would help if you gave us more information in the first place

That file is for Call of Duty -- but I'm not helping you install it. Ordinarily it's the patch file for multiplayer, but the only reason you would have that one specific file is because it's modded and they're only used for cheating in multiplayer (glitches, hacks, infinite ammo, god-mode, etc).

I'm not helping someone cheat online. Sorry. Cheaters absolutely destroyed MW2 on the PC, so much that it's as bad as Combat Arms or Counter Strike ... I'm not helping someone cheat in the PS3 version.

I got it installed with a different FTP program. I don't really think doing cheats online ruins the game much. But when EVERYONE does it that when it gets out of hand.

Keep in mind that some game updates cause the game to no longer work in JB. It's been reported before, so be aware of that. If you notice a game glitch, and there is an update, google JB forums to see if there are any reported issues before updating the game.
