how do i transfer the game to my ps3?

i have everything setup: my HD2 connected to ps3. But the question is how do i put the game into my ps3? Must i use external hardrive or can i use direct connection from my pc to ps3?
please help...

so using FTP is the only way? why can't i just take the files from my PC via external HD then transfer the files to my ps3 with the external HD?

one more question. When i use a blue ray disc as a media to boot up any backup games. Does the disc have to be a game disc? or it can be a blue ray movie disc?
