How do i run games without disc?

hello i know theres like 10% of games you can run without disc in the drive.
But how do i do that?
I have open manager the latest build and ps3hub updated hermes v4.

It's very simple really. You start off by selecting the game in OpenManager as usual.
But since you have no disc in the drive there will be no disk icon through which to start the game.
Instead you should select one of the two commands that were added to the menu by PSJB.
Not the one used for installing packages, but the one shown as "* /app_home/PS3_GAME/".

When you select that one you will get the same menu effects as when selecting the disc icon with a disc in tray, as the icon (and sometimes background too) is replaced by graphics of the game, and often you even hear some theme music. This part of it works even for most games that do not run at all in disc-less mode. Pressing the 'X' button with that menu entry selected should start the game just as if it was the BD disc icon you had selected.

That is how it should work, except that it very seldom does, and even games that seem to work are usually later found to have flaws and bugs that are unique to being run this way.

Personally I have stopped trying to use this disc-less mode as it just isn't practical with so low game compatibility. If I am to have full freedom of choice between my installed games I simply have to keep some disc in the drive at all times. So that is what I do.
